KP abolishes work from home facility for govt employees on Fridays
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has abolished the work from home facility for government employees on Fridays, restoring the day as a regular working day across all provincial government offices. According to an official notification issued by the Administration Department, the work from home policy introduced on March 17, 2026, has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
The notification states that all government employees will now be required to report to their offices and perform their duties on Fridays as per the normal working schedule. The decision was taken in light of the directives issued during the 54th meeting of the provincial cabinet. The Chief Secretary has directed all government departments to ensure the immediate implementation of the decision and comply with the revised working arrangements.
