Islamabad court seeks security on Imran Khan’s appearance
The banking court on Monday sought security from the IG police ahead of former prime minister Imran Khan’s court appearance on February 28 (tomorrow), ARY News reported. In a letter penned by the registrar of the banking court, Abdul Wahab, the IG police Islamabad has been asked to provide security on the occasion of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan’s appearance.
The case registered under Foreign Exchange Act is sensitive, therefore adequate security should be ensured on February 28 for the court and its staff. It may be noted that the Islamabad high court (IHC) ordered the former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan to appear before court on February 28 in a prohibited funding case.
