Iran to supply 100 MW electricity to Gwadar
Gwadar will get an extra 100 megawatts of electricity from Iran to address the region's power problems. Director General of Gwadar Development Authority Mujeeb Qambrani said on Twitter that Gwadar will begin receiving the extra energy in March to ensure a continuous supply of electricity. It will advance China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects and the economy as a whole, he added. According to the deal, Iran would provide electricity over a 132 kilovolt transmission line, which will be enough for the local population.
