Gold, foreign currency smuggling bids foiled
The custom officials foiled two separate bids to smuggle gold and foreign currency and arrested three at Bacha Khan Airport Peshawar on Wednesday. Spokesman of a Customs said that during search of baggage of a Saudi Arabia returned passengers, 100 tola gold worth million of rupees confiscated in Vaseline jars was recovered. Another passenger was held with foreign currency valuing hundreds of thousands rupees. The recovered gold, foreign currency was confiscated and the three detained passengers were being investigated after registering separate cases against them under Customs Act.
