Girl shot dead in Lahore over free-will marriage
A young girl, who left her home to marry a man of her own free will, was shot dead by her family in the name of “honour” in the limits of Ghaziabad area of Lahore on Wednesday. According to police, Alisha (18) eloped with a man a few months ago and had married him with her free consent, angering her parents. However, her family had brought her back home following a reported reconciliation and eventually shot her dead.
