Cameroon reports first case of COVID-19
YAOUNDE, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Cameroon's Ministry of Public Health confirmed on Friday the country's first case of COVID-19.
The patient is a French national of 58 years old, who arrived in Yaounde on Feb. 24, according to a statement of the ministry, the national television CRTV reported.
The patient is now in solitary confinement in Yaounde Central Hospital for treatment, the statement added, urging the public to be vigilant and respect hygiene rules. ■
