Attempt to smuggle 10 truckloads of wheat foiled
Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation Limited (PASSCO) has successfully thwarted a wheat smuggling attempt by intercepting 10 trucks loaded with wheat and seized 6,000 sacks in Hafizabad on Thursday. The seized wheat was being transported to various cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) illegally. The authorities have transferred the seized wheat to Passco centre. Also, a ban has been imposed on transporting wheat outside the district. According to PASSCO sources, the authorities have also carried out operations against wheat smugglers in Niki Chattha, Iqbal Nagar and Chak Chattha.
