Ahsan asks US don't look at CPEC from Indian perspective;
WASHINGTON , Oct 14 (INP) Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has urged the United States not to look at the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) from an Indian perspective but as an economic plan for bringing peace and stability to South Asia.
Addressing a ceremony at Pakistan Embassy in Washington on Friday, Ahsan Iqbal said that US Defence Secretary James Mattis concerns about the over $50 billion CPEC were unfounded.
Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, highlighted the economic gains and the security successes of Pakistan achieved in the last four years. He was addressing a gathering at the Embassy Forum, organized by the Pakistan Embassy, Washington DC earlier today.
