Afghan special police seize 525 kg of illicit drugs
KABUL, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan special counter-narcotics police in southern Uruzgan province have seized 525 kg of narcotic drugs, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday.
"Counter-Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) launched a special raid in surrounding areas of Tirin Kot, capital of Uruzgan province. The CNPA seized 525 kg of opium and hashish from a house during the raid," the ministry said in a statement.
No arrest was made during the raid in the province, 37 km southwest of the country's capital Kabul.
