Xian, September 14(INP): With 600 participants from 72 countries and high-level government officials from China and other Silk Road countries, the 2-day international conference has come to its close. As per the details, the keynote speeches were applauded for their insight and world viewpoints, and 6 parallel forums had live discussions on topics of regional and international cooperation mechanisms, proactive involvement in the Belt and Road construction, and cultural exchange among peoples. The Xi'an Consensus was released on (Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce) SRCIC contribution to building a global community with a shared future, expressing the notion and determination of the business leaders in promoting policy coordination, financing innovation, industry interaction and a green development. The Summit also witnessed several highlights of ceremonies for SRCIC 2017 Outstanding Leadership Award, the Inauguration of Adnan & Adel Kassar Silk Road Cultural Center, a number of cooperative projects and agreements signing, and welcoming SRCIC scholarship students from Ukraine. A news briefing was held on the same day of the Summit closing and the worldwide media coverage has come up for the significance and impact of the Summit. Lu Jianzhong, Chairman, Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce stated on the occasion that four years ago in 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the Belt and Road Initiative -the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road-which covers different geographic regions, different development phases, and different civilizations to provide new energy to the world economy and to serve as a new solution to the rational global governance system. The Belt and Road Initiative is an open and inclusive platform for worldwide collaboration and interaction. Two years ago in 2015, SRCIC was founded in Hong Kong as a result of joint efforts to answer the calls for the development of the Belt and Road and to advance its members' growth and prosperity by offering trade and investment opportunities. From the 36 founding members at its inauguration and the 81 country members today, SRCIC is gaining support from China and international business communities for its Silk Road spirit – peaceful cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning, and mutual benefit. With its continued expansion to serve as a bridge between corporations and governments, and between its members, SRCIC has become a vital strength in promoting the resilience of the world economy and in the construction of the Belt and Road.
