ISLAMABAD, Sept 28 (INP): His Excellency ambassador Sun Weidong will complete his four-year tenure in Pakistan next month after contributing a lot in bringing the Sino-Pak cooperative partnership to a new height. His stay in Pakistan was a story of great success, as the two countries moved ahead with strong socio-economic partnership for improving the livelihood of the people and showing the World that their relationship are unique and unprecedented on all accounts. Ambassador Sun won the hearts of the people of Pakistan, working day and night to bring the ambitious plan of economic corridor into action. There is visible development in all sectors of bilateral relations. He told a gathering on the occasion of their National Day that he has been working in Pakistan for more than four years. He has witnessed the economic and social development of Pakistan, and the improvement of security situation in the country. He congratulated Pakistan on these remarkable achievements. Fighting against terrorism is a strategic decision of Pakistan. The great efforts and national sacrifices made by Pakistan for the cause of international counter-terrorism should be fully understood and acknowledged by the international community. China firmly supports Pakistan to carry out its counter-terrorism strategy based on its own national conditions. We will, as always, support Pakistan’s efforts in safeguarding its national sovereignty and security.
