Pak-China partnership to get promoted through media collaborationBreaking

BEIJING, Oct 30(INP): The strategic partnership between China and Pakistan will be further promoted through enhanced media collaboration, under the media cooperation forum on Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that held its 5th annual session in the Chinese province of Hainan

The annual session was participated by around 800 journalists from BRI’s member countries including Pakistan. It was arranged by People’s Daily, the major media house of China.

Speakers at the inaugural session acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution towards promotion and smooth implementation of BRI, while referring to China Pakistan Economic Corridor that is being successfully implemented.

They hoped that the member countries will follow the same, injecting new vigor in the BRI.

The speakers included the president of People’s Daily Li Baoshan and other senior leaders’ of Chinese central government, Communist Party of China and provincial government of Hainan.

A number of agreements were signed on the occasion including one between People’s Daily and Independent News Pakistan.

The speakers further stated that the People’s Daily initiative will go a long way in deepening understanding and cooperation among the media houses of BRI countries.

It will help to implement the President Xi Jinping’s initiative of shared destiny and common development.

The largest participation of journalists in the media forum reflected commitment of the journalist community towards the BRI which they said provides a practical solution to various socio-economic problems being faced by developing countries.

Chinese central government leaders in their speeches showed their full support in strengthening connectivity and collaborative partnership among the member countries for improving the livelihood of the people through the strong infrastructure development.

They said that China will facilitate the BRI countries through its financial and technical support for giving boost to the development of less-developed regions. The concept of BRI is based on mutual trust, understanding and on principle of win-win situation that meant to promote peace and prosperity for entire mankind.

The participants deliberated upon the theme of the forum which was 'Contribution for all, Benefits for all' and called for laying maximum focus for promotion of people to people contacts through media interactions among member countries.
