Imran's visit a watershed moment in Sino-Pak glorious history: Gwadar ProBreaking

February 04, 2022

BEIJING, February 4 (INP): Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit will be a watershed moment in our glorious history of strong seven-decade Sino-Pak relations.
This will build overall confidence to strengthen each other for a common destiny of peace and prosperity, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.
This visit reflects a strong sense of solidarity of Pakistan with China.
During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping will receive Prime Minister Imran Khan, and there will be high-level talks with Premier Li Keqiang.
Discussions will be held on building more substantial and lasting economic, trade, political and strategic partnerships in diverse sectors, especially China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

China has remained as central as the jewel in the crown of Pakistan’s foreign policy and diplomatic ties with any country globally.
These outstanding relations are indeed sweeter than honey and higher than the Himalayas and based on strong sense of Iron brotherhood that is crafted on the hearts of the people from both sides.

Primarily, Pakistan hopes to attract investment in several sectors, including information technology, furniture, agriculture, automobile, footwear, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
Pakistani business community eyes on freight train services currently operating among China, Central Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Europe as an effort of global connectivity.
The apex leadership will discuss the entire gamut of bilateral relationships with the main focus on CPEC. This important bilateral visit will culminate the celebrations of the seventy years of solid diplomatic ties where more than 140 events were organized to commemorate the momentous occasion. The Prime Minister's important visit will reinforce and foster the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
After assuming the highest government office, this visit will be the fourth one by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The visit was also scheduled after two years, especially as China was courageously battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, President Arif Alvi made a state-level visit right at the outset of the pandemic to show a strong respect for China's courage and resilience in its fight against the pandemic.

Both Pakistan and China are developing new partnerships and keeping a close eye on the changing regional situations, especially after the tumultuous US withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Both countries always worked for a peaceful and stable region to build sustainable peace in a region marred with conflicts and poverty.
The visit will be a watershed moment in our glorious history of strong seven-decade relations and will build overall confidence to strengthen each other for a common destiny of peace and prosperity, the report added.
