China invites Pakistan, other countries sharing opportunities of its opening-up policyBreaking

BEIJING, April 20 (INP): China says, it welcomes Pakistan and other counties sharing of the opportunities brought by its opening-up and development policy that serves as a road-map towards shared-destiny of entire mankind. It goes without saying that whoever pursues protectionism and closes its own door to China will end up in locking the door that leads to China, said spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying at a weekly news briefing. China has stressed multiple times before that China will press ahead with the reform and opening-up in accordance with the goals and tempo, set up by the Communist Party of China and the National People’s Congress. At the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018, President Xi Jinping announced a series of major measures China will take to expand opening-up, which are the solemn commitments made by the Chinese people to people around the world. According to Hua Chunying, “the experience of China's endeavor to pursue reform and opening-up in the past four decades demonstrates that on the basis of a certain degree of development, only opening-up can fully stimulate market vitality, compel enterprises to pursue innovation and amass resources from both home and abroad. The full opening-up of our manufacturing industry demonstrates that we are crystal clear in our stance against trade and investment protectionism and that we unequivocally support the extensive and in-depth development of economic globalization and both Chinese and foreign enterprises in achieving common development on a level playing field. We believe that the new round of China's opening-up will deepen reform, promote the high-quality development, competition among industries and the optimal allocation of resources, further energize the market and break new ground in opening up in all-round way.” Meanwhile, the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing, said the year 2018 is crucial year for China for securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and for implementing the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020). It is also the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up policy. China’s opening-up policy is meant to provide equal opportunities to the countries of the entire world moving towards shared destiny and a win-win situation. To this effect, China’s neighboring countries will have a special place, particularly under the Belt and Road’s initiative. During his interaction with the local media in Islamabad, Yao Jing also shared the details of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s visit to China of the recently conducted Boao Forum. Giving his expression about the meeting held between President Xi Jinping and Khaqan Abbasi on the occasion, he said it all went well identifying future goals of action to consolidate the Sino-Pak ties in all directions of bilateral interest. Abbasi lauded the spirit of China ‘s opening-up policy and assured his country’s support to make it successful. The ambassador who was present in the meeting, said the bilateral interaction at the top-level paved the way of further accelerating pace of progress at the level China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The spirit of the CPEC is to develop Pakistan a strong and prosperous country, he added. INP/J/AJ
