China Foundation for poverty alleviation offers to work in PakistanBreaking

BEIJING, August 17 (INP): China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) is prepared to undertake welfare-oriented projects in Pakistan. This was stated by Ms. Huang Le, Program Officer, CFPA during her meeting with Shozab Abbas, a senior officer of Pakistan Embassy. While highlighting CFPA’s role abroad, she they have already taken long-term programs in some regional countries, giving emergency respond to humanitarian task. The humanitarian work includes post-earthquake reconstruction projects, setting up Hospital and Maternal & Infant Healthcare System, Smiling Children School Feeding Project. The CFPA has sent Chinese volunteers to Nepal and Myanmar as part of their international relief mission. As Pakistan has been a long time friend to China, also following China’s Belt and Road Initiative, it would be a suitable time for CFPA to consider starting projects there, she added. Shozab Abbas appreciated the CFPA’s work and said his country will fully support the CFPA’s welfare program. The two countries built good relationship long time ago and they are supposed to help each other. The CFPA, he said could do feasibility study in Pakistan to know about the real needs. The philanthropic program in Pakistan, to be initiated be China, will be welcomed at all levels, he added. INP/AH
