BEIJING, October 24 (INP): China contributed over 30% to world economic growth in the past decade alone, said China’s Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng.
Addressing the ninth Beijing Xiangshan Forum, he said China's development would not have been possible without the peaceful international environment and the stable international order.
It is especially so in the age of globalization as the interests of all countries are so closely entwined. No country can develop or prosper with their doors shut to the world.
According to Marxist philosophy, things are decided by internal and external factors. The former plays a primary role, while the latter exerts its influence through the former, reports China Economic Net.
“ The First Chairman of the People's Republic of China Mao Zedong had a metaphor that fully explained the idea: with the right amount of heat, chickens can be hatched from eggs, but no chickens can ever be hatched from stones no matter how much heat is given.
China's development over the past seven decades shows that for a large and populous country like China, national rejuvenation can only be achieved by relying on its own people's hard work.
It can never be achieved by living on handouts from other countries, by expecting miracles, or by taking advantage of any other country.
Thanks to its development achievement, China has made important contribution to the world. To sum up, China cannot develop itself without the world and the world needs China in order to prosper. The world is a better place when China does well.”
