Beijing, Apr 28 (INP): Chinese government has taken a series of measures in a bid to guarantee the quality of exporting medical devices and help improve the efficiency of the global battle against COVID-19 epidemic, reports Gwadar Pro App.

At a press conference here, the Chinese authorities emphasized strict supervision of the quality of exporting medical devices. Li XingQian, spokesman of China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC), briefly introduced that in a single day on April 24, China exported over 1 billion masks to overseas market. By April 25, medical devices made by China had been exported to 191 countries and regions.

Li said, China never restricted the export of epidemic prevention supplies and made every effort to support other countries that purchase medical devices from China to cope with the epidemic.

China in a single day on April 24, exported over 1 billion masks to overseas market, according to Customs statistics.

The masks exported to other countries are required to meet the quality standards of either China or respective exporting destinations, according to No.5 joint announcement and No.12 joint announcement proposed.

Since February, State Food and Drug Administration of China (SFDA) has launched a specific project to supervise Chinese enterprises and factories, ensuring their medical supplies completely meet the quality standards of each exporting destination.

Up to April 24th, more than 417 batches of medical supplies and 1216 enterprises were inspected by SFDA.
