Shakil Shaikh, other officials suspended over alleged irregularitiesBreaking

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed an ad-hoc committee to immediately suspended Shakil Shaikh and other officials of the Regional Cricket Association Islamabad (RICA) involved in alleged irregularities on the elecetion affairs. According to the notification issued by the PCB, Shakil Shaikh and Nasir Iqbal have been suspended from their posts with immediate effect as a result of the inquiry conducted on the complaint of Presidents of cricket clubs of Islamabad against the election process of Regional Cricket Association Islamabad, while the affairs of the Islamabad region have been transferred to a three-member committee.

The ad-hoc committe headed by Muhammad Junaid Akhtar while the members include Abdus Sami and Ajmal Sabir. Pakistan Cricket Board has directed Shakil Ahmed Shaikh to immediately hand over all the records of regional cricket association Islamabad to the newly formed ad-hoc committee as they are authorised to run the day to day affairs for the period of 30 days.
