The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain in Ahmedabad and North Gujarat on October 14, the day of the highly-anticipated India vs Pakistan World Cup match. "Gujarat is expected to remain dry during the next five days, while Ahmedabad district may experience light rain at isolated places on October 14," the IMD said in a statement. The IMD also warned of scorching heat and humidity in the city on Saturday, with the temperature expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius. It is unclear whether the rain will have any impact on the match, but the Narendra Modi Stadium is equipped with a drainage system that can remove water from the field quickly. The match is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM Pakistan time.
