The possible schedule for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, has been revealed. The tournament is expected to run from February to March 8.According to sources, the official schedule will be announced during a ceremony in Mumbai. India and Sri Lanka will serve as the joint hosts of the 2026 edition of the ICC T20 World Cup.Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group, with their highly anticipated clash scheduled for February 15 in Colombo.
The Pakistan team will play all of its group-stage matches in Sri Lanka. The group also includes the USA, Namibia, and the Netherlands.The 20 participating teams have been divided into four groups of five. As in the previous format, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight stage. In the Super Eight round, the eight qualifying teams will be split into two groups, with the top two from each group moving on to the semi-finals. In India, matches will be held in Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad, while Sri Lanka will host games in Colombo and Kandy.
The final is scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad, but if Pakistan qualifies, the final will instead be held in Colombo. Mumbai and Kolkata have been selected as the semi-final venues; however, if Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, the match will be held in Colombo.Sri Lanka has been placed in a group alongside Australia, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman. Other groups feature England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Italy, as well as South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, UAE, and Canada.
