Former Deputy Mayor of Islamabad Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi has been elected President of the Chess Federation of Pakistan (CFP) for the 2026–2030 term following the completion of the federation’s official elections.The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has issued a formal notification confirming the results, marking the successful conclusion of the electoral process conducted under national sports regulations.
According to the Election Commission notification, the elections were held in accordance with the Constitution of the Pakistan Sports Board 2022, Revised National Sports Policy 2005, National Sports Federations (Tenure) Rules 2025, Sports Election Regulations 2024, and the constitution of the federation. Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi has been elected President of the Chess Federation of Pakistan, while Raja Muhammad Gauhar Iqbal has been elected Secretary General.
Muhammad Musawar Khan and Muhammad Wasif Nisar have been elected as Finance Secretary and Joint Secretary respectively. Other office-bearers include Anwar Saleem Kasi as Senior Vice President, and Agha Waseem Ahmad, Muhammad Nadeem Khaldi, and Inamullah Awan as Vice Presidents.
