Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has reaffirmed his government's resolve to continue taking all possible steps for the empowerment of women in AJK. He further stated that empowering women and providing them with maximum opportunities to participate in the political process were among the PPP's key priorities.

Faisal asserted that his Pakistan Peoples Party AJK stands as a grassroots' party in which women have always played a crucial role to secure and safeguard due rights of the women folk at each level. He expressed these remarks during a meeting with his party’s Women’s Wing President and former Deputy Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly Ms.

Shaheen Kausar Dar at JK House in the Federal metropolis on Sunday.Rathore said that in view of the upcoming general elections in AJK it was essential to further strengthen and organize the Women’s Wing so that it can play a full role in the party’s success.
