A woman strangled her only daughter to death after dispute over matrimonial issue in Sialkot on Friday. According to police, 21-year-old Zalekha Kanwal, a resident of Moradpur police station area, got married in Faisalabad one and a half month ago against her will on the desire of her mother. When Zulikha Kanwal came back to her home after a month and a half, she eloped with her lover. The mother and the girl’s husband lodged a case of kidnapping at the concerned police station. However, the victim gave a statement against her husband in the court. Later, the girl's mother tried to convince her daughter but failed which caused a quarrel between mother and daughter and the heartless mother strangled her daughter to death. After the incident, the police registered a case and arrested accused Shama Kausar and further investigation was going on.
