A woman allegedly poisoned to death a man after calling him to her house to close a deal regarding buying a house in Hafizabad, reported on Friday. According to the dying man’s statement recorded by police in hospital, victim Zafar had purchased a house from a woman named Farah for 5.5 million rupees. Farah called Zafar to her house for remaining 1.1 million rupees. When Zafar reached the house, Farah served him a cup of tea mixed with poison. After taking the tea, Zafar’s health deteriorated. He was rushed to a hospital but could not survive. Zafar recorded a statement before his death, informing the police that in order to deprive him of his hard-earned 5.5 million rupees, Farah mixed poison in his cup of tea. Hafizabad police registered an FIR against the main accused, Farah, and three others and started further investigation.
