A woman died after falling from an elevator in a building in Karachi late Thursday night. The incident occurred in a building near Agriya Jamatkhana in Lee Market of Bheempura area when a woman boarded the lift but could not maintain her balance and fell off. The woman identified as 50-year-old Najma daughter of Muhammad Musa died on the spot. According to Chhipa Welfare sources, the woman’s body was shifted to Civil Hospital. Meanwhile, the police have started the investigation. It may be mentioned here that on January 12, 2024, at least 12 women workers were injured when an elevator collapsed in an office building in Karachi. The office was belonged to a private company located near Korangi Indus Chowrangi. Rescue personnel were called in to provide first aid treatment to the injured women.
