Wildlife, herbs damaged as fire engulfs Kohlu forests again Breaking

A fire broke out in the forests of Koh Jandran in Kohlu once again causing huge losses to the wildlife and plantation. According sources in Forests Department, the fire has engulfed a large area of forests at Pir Choti, a border mountain range of Koh Jandran. Forest Department staff and local volunteers have been busy extinguishing the fire for the past thirty hours.

Forest Department sources said that the cause of the fire could not be ascertained. Rescue operations are facing difficulties due to lack of equipment and manpower. The intensity of the fire has increased with the rapid flow of wind and a large amount of forests, wildlife and herbs are being damaged. The fire has broken out in the forests of Koh Jandran for the second time in a week.
