WHO provides Rs. 60 million medical assistance for Bannu, Lakki MarwatBreaking

Health Services for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday told that World Health Organization donated medicines and medical equipments for flood-affected individuals. According to the media statement, the Director General of Health Services for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Shaukat Ali, announced that the WHO's representative in Pakistan, Dr. Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala, donated medicines and other medical supplies worth Rs. 60 million for the treatment and care of injured individuals in Bannu and Lakki Marwat during the recent flash floods. The donation includes malaria kits and other necessary medications. Dr. Mahipala handed over the supplies to Dr. Ali, who will then distribute them to the respective districts. Upon a request from the Health Department, the WHO also announced the donation of 50 motorbikes for the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI).
