WASA Rawalpindi gives final warning to defaultersBreaking

The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rawalpindi has launched action against commercial and domestic consumers who have failed to clear their outstanding dues for an extended period, as part of its ongoing revenue recovery campaign.During the operation in E-Block, Satellite Town, the authority issued a final deadline to defaulters to clear their outstanding payments. The action was carried out on the special directives of WASA Rawalpindi Managing Director Aziz Ullah Khan.

The operation was supervised by Senior Special Magistrate WASA Amir Ashfaq Qureshi, Director Finance and Revenue Tahir Bashir Mirza, and Deputy Director Revenue Akmal Yasin. Officials and field staff of WASA, along with personnel from Punjab Police, also participated in the operation.Speaking during the operation, Senior Special Magistrate Amir Ashfaq Qureshi said defaulters were being given a final opportunity to clear their outstanding dues. He warned that consumers who failed to make payments within the stipulated period would face disconnection of their water supply connections, along with further legal action in accordance with the law.

Qureshi said the revenue recovery campaign was aimed at ensuring the timely collection of outstanding dues and strengthening WASA’s financial resources. He added that no concession or preferential treatment would be extended to defaulters during the campaign. He urged consumers with outstanding dues to clear their liabilities immediately to avoid disconnection and further legal action. The senior magistrate further stated that WASA’s revenue recovery drive would continue across different areas of Rawalpindi without discrimination, stressing that non-payment of outstanding dues would not be tolerated.
