An alleged criminal who was wanted by police in several cases was gunned down in crossfire with the police in Lahore in the morning hours of Thursday. According to the police, the alleged criminal was wanted by police in several cases of attempt to murder, drug dealing and other heinous crimes. Police launched an intelligence based operation against him and when police reached at his hideout, he opened fire on police party. The police retaliated and opened fire on him. The wanted criminal was killed in cross fire. Police claimed the suspect identified as Amjad. The suspect also shot and injured a policeman named Saqib a few days ago. The body was shifted to hospital for autopsy for legal formalities.
