The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have separately funded a total of 113 projects in Pakistan worth $0.588 billion in 2022. The USAID has funded 12 on-budget projects and 53 off-budget projects, with disbursements of $0.07 billion and $0.12 billion, respectively. UNICEF has initiated 40 projects worth $0.398 billion in the areas of health, nutrition, learning and skills, child protection, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), climate change, social policy, and social protection. These projects are being implemented in collaboration with international and national non-governmental organizations (INGOs and NGOs).
JICA has provided $0.129 billion in funding for eight projects since January 2022. The disbursements are categorized into loan and grant portfolios. The funding from these three organizations is supporting a wide range of initiatives in Pakistan, including poverty alleviation, education, health, infrastructure, and governance.
