The United States has condemned the suicide attacks in Mastung district of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu, saying Pakistanis deserve to practice their faith without any fear. In a post uploaded on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller on Friday said that the US strongly condemned the suicide attacks killed and injured worshippers and others. Miller also said that Pakistanis deserve to practice their faith without fear. “Our deep condolences to families who lost their loved ones,” he added. At least 57 people were killed and scores injured in the two suicide attacks in Pakistani cities of Mastung and Hangu on Friday.

The first explosion, a powerful suicide blast, ripped through a mosque in Balochistan province, killing 52 people. Simultaneously, another blast struck a mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu city, claiming lives of at least three innocent people. The explosion in Balochistan took place near Madina Mosque on Al Falah Road in the Mastung district. Shockingly, no group has come forward to claim responsibility for this horrific attack. Among the deceased was Mastung’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gashkori, who was on duty for an Eid Miladun Nabi rally.
