Unidentified assailants killed a civilian in Jammu city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.  According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, who was traveling in a car was attacked by unknown persons in the Jewal Chowk area of the city on Tuesday.   “Four bullets were fired at the man, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to the Government Medical College in Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” the official said. 

The attackers fled the scene after the incident, prompting police to launch a massive search operation to apprehend them.  Meanwhile, a man lost his life after being struck by a rolling log while collecting firewood in a forest in the Zamboora area of Baramulla, officials said. A mother succumbed to her injuries 17 days after her son passed away following a suffocation incident in Gudder, area of Kulgam district, on Tuesday.
