Chaos unfolded in the federal capital as a group of unidentified suspects unleashed a hail of gunfire on the Capital police, police told. The distressing incident took place in the Sangjani area of Islamabad, where the assailants brazenly targeted the police, leaving an on-duty constable, Zafarullah, and an innocent bystander wounded in the wake of the indiscriminate shooting. Swift action was taken, as both injured individuals were expeditiously transported to a nearby hospital to receive the necessary medical attention. Meanwhile, upon learning of the shocking assault, senior police officials promptly arrived at the crime scene, underscoring the gravity of the situation. In light of these distressing events, the authorities have ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident, in a bid to identify and bring the perpetrators to justice. The capital remains on high alert as the search for the assailants continues, and security measures are intensified to safeguard the residents and maintain law and order.
