Two women were killed by husbands in different cities of Punjab, police said on Thursday. According to details, the first incident took place in Khanqah Dogran of Sheikhupura, where accused Zafar poisoned his wife Zulekha to death over domestic issues. The culprit fled the scene of crime. Heavy contingent of police reached the scene and shifted the body to DHQ Hospital for postmortem. Brother of Zulekha informed police that Zafar used to torture her sister on daily basis. Meanwhile, an accused ambushed his wife Najma Bibi to death in Chak 27 EB Saddar police station jurisdiction in Arifwala. The deceased had applied for khulah from husband and was staying at parent’s house. The bodies were shifted to different hospitals for postmortem and police after registering separate cases at respective police stations constituted specials for arrest of the culprits.
