Two shooters killed during Lahore police encounterBreaking

Two shooters were killed in the firing of their accomplices during an encounter with personnel of Organized Crime Unit (OCU) Cantt and dacoits in Lahore early Friday. According to report, the police were taking the accused for recovery and arrest of their accomplices when the accused opened fire on the police team as a result of which both the accused in police custody received bullet injuries and died on way to a hospital. However, the policemen were miraculously remained unhurt in the firing of the accused. The police said that the killed accused Muhammad Azam and Siddique alias Chheko Masih were involved in hundreds of cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion, robbery and extortion and were the most dangerous shooters. In this regard DSP Chaudhry Faisal Sharif said that the accused were previously recorded in serious incidents like murder, extortion, robbery and rape.

In 2016, the accused Muhammad Azam brutally killed a citizen named Ali Raza by stabbing him in the factory area, said DSP (OCU) Cantt Chaudhry Faisal Sharif. It should be remembered that the deceased accused Muhammad Azam killed the father of the deceased Ali Raza by firing indiscriminately in 2020 due to the grudge of pursuing the murder case, Chaudhry Faisal Sharif said. The deceased accused Muhammad Azam was a hired killer against whom dozens of attempted murder cases have been registered. The deceased accused had also fired at the house of a Lahore police official. The deceased accused Siddiq alias Chiko Masih was previously recorded in 131 incidents of serious nature such as robbery, dacoity and rape. Other accomplices of the slain robbers escaped by taking advantage of the darkness, and a search operation is underway in the area to arrest them.
