Two robbers were killed, weapons and a motorcycle recovered after exchange of fire with police near Head Kharal Kalan late on Monday night. The police engaged a four-member gang of robbers fleeing after committing a robbery in jurisdiction of Hujra Shah Muqeem police station. An encounter took place in which robbers were killed while their two accomplices managed to escape. The police recovered arms and a motorcycle from possession of the killed robbers. The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem. The police cordoned off the area after the encounter and launched search operation for the fled robbers but no arrest could be made.
