Two murder convicts sentenced to death in two different murder cases  By Raza NaqviBreaking

ATTOCK, July 2 (INP): A local court in Jand town of Attock on Tuesday awarded capital punishment to two convicts  on charge of killing two different persons in two different murder cases registered against them in Jand and Bassal Police station respectively. In the first case, a court additional district and session Judge Raza Ullah Khan sentenced a convict to death for murdering a man and injuring a woman in Aurangabad area in the limits of Jand Police station.  The judge also imposed fine worth Rs 10 million over convict as damages. According to the FIR registered under section 302, 324 and 337 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at Jand Police station on November 2, 2011, the accused Mujhaid Hussain had shot dead his relative Sher Ahmed and injured a woman over old enmity. 

The suspect fled however police in 2021 arrested him from his hideout through human and digital intelligence.  Later during the trial, the prosecution produced substantial evidence against the accused which established involvement of Hussain  in the cold blood murder of the man and injuring the woman  and subsequently sent the convict to gallows. In another case, the judge sentenced  to death a man as he found guilty of a killing a man over old enmity in the murder  case registered against him at Bassal Police station under section 302 and 452 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)  in 2023. 

The additional district and session Judge Raza Ullah Khan pronounced the verdict of sentenced to death to convict identified as Imran Ijaz in the case after the completion of the trial.  The court also ordered that both the convict will also pay Rs one million as compensation to the heirs of the deceased and he would spend a further three months in jail in case of default.
