A tragic road accident in Sheikhupura on Wednesday claimed the lives of two people and injured two others. The accident occurred near Qila Sattar Shah area of Sheikhupura when a dumper hit a rickshaw due to over-speeding. The rickshaw was carrying four people, two of whom were killed on the spot. The other two were injured and taken to District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital. Police and rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and shifted the dead and injured to the hospital. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released. The injured are said to be in critical condition. The police have registered a case against the dumper driver and are investigating the matter.
