A deadly road accident near Pindi Bhattian claimed the lives of two people when a stationary mini-truck (Shehzore) hit by a speedy trailer on M-2 Motorway Wednesday morning. According to initial reports, the accident occurred when a speeding trailer rammed into a hindered Shehzore that had reportedly broken down on the Motorway. The impact of the hit was severe, resulting in the deaths of two occupants at the scene, rescue officials added.
The deceased were identified as 24-year-old Hammad Arshad, a resident of Attock District, and 30-year-old Aurangzeb, a resident of Sial Morr. Rescue 1122 personnel, along with teams from the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), responded immediately to the scene and shifted the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Pindi Bhattian. Following the accident, the trailer driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Motorway Police have launched legal proceedings and are investigating the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
