Two dacoits were killed while their four accomplices managed to escape reportedly in a police encounter in Larkana. Police said that cops found themselves face-to-face with dacoits at Naudero bypass, which led to an exchange of fire between them. Consequently, police further said, two dacoits, who were identified as Wajid Jalbani and Saddam Jalbani, were killed. The Force also claimed to have recovered sophisticated weapons from them.
Elaborating further, police said the slain dacoits were also involved in the killings of a Hindu trader in Larkana Sanjay Kumar and another Hindu trader in Naudero Santosh Kumar. Police in Khairpur have claimed to have arrested two dacoits besides recovering two pistols, a cellphone and a motorcycle from them in an encounter. According to SSP Tauheedur Rehman Memon, the encounter took place while the police personnel were busy checking on the National Highway.
“The cops signaled two motorcyclists to stop near the Army Stop. But both of them opened fire at them and tried to flee,” the SSP said, adding, “The cops chased them and managed to arrest them.” Memon informed that the arrested dacoits had been identified as Saeed and Khair Muhammad.
