Two arrested in Lahore for supplying kitesBreaking

Police in Lahore have foiled a bid to supply a large quantity of kites and strings by arresting two persons in this connection. On the directives of Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) of Police Faisal Kamran, Lahore police thwarted an attempt to supply a large quantity of kites and strings and arrested two kite dealers. According to details, after receiving credible information, police arrested two kite dealers, who were later identified as Shahid and Jamil, near Couple Wedding Hall in Lahore Cantt North.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantonment Atif Amir said that police recovered 520 kites worth thousands of rupees, spools of lethal chemically-coated string, and dozens of spools of untreated string. The accused confessed to supplying kites and strings across various districts via online orders. The SP Cantonment said that intelligence-based operations are underway to apprehend the accomplices of kite dealers.

Police registered a first information report against the kite dealers and started an investigation. Deputy Inspector General of Police Faisal Kamran said that he directed to adopt zero tolerance policy against kite sellers and kite manufacturers, and anyone found involved in kite selling will be dealt with as per law.
