Two government employees who were kidnapped on April 6, 2025 finally got freedom after paying ransom in Bannu. According to details, both staffers who were later identified as Nauman Al-Hussaini and Ashfaq were employed in health department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Both victims in a video message appealed to government and other notables of their areas to take immediate measures to ensure their safe release from custody.

Relatives, friends and employees of health department staged a sit-in and blocked the road in protest over their kidnapping. After release both arrived in their respective homes safely. Sources said that both staffers were released after payment of ransom.
