A fire broke out in the Abasia forests Bakhowala in Liaquatpur. According to sources, the fire spread from a canal near the Bakho forest. The fire affected an area of more than 10 kilometers of forest. There is fear of loss to wildlife with damage of thousands of trees. However, the fire was brought under control after the struggle of 48 hours last night. Sources said there is a risk of the fire spreading again at one place and in this regard locals and forest administration are alert. The fire was brought under control with the help of locals.
