Trans person who refused to go with men shot at, injured in GujranwalaBreaking

A transgender person was shot at and injured for refusing to go with some men in Gujranwala, police reported on Saturday. According to police, a transgender person, Mona, was approached by some motorcyclists who asked her to go with them and perform in their function. But Mona refused to perform in their function. The motorcyclists got furious over Mona’s refusal. They pulled out their pistol and opened fire at her. Bullets pierced Mona’s legs and arm, injuring her seriously. Mona told police that the accused wanted to take her to their function forcibly and on her refusal, they opened fire at her.

Police said that Mona was shifted to a hospital and further investigation was underway. Separately, an alleged dacoit was killed and an ASI got injured during a police encounter with dacoits in the Salkhan Abad area of Gujranwala. According to police, they intercepted two suspicious people riding a motorcycle near Chachar Wali Canal. But the motorcyclists opened fire at police. As a result, Jandianwala police station in-charge ASI Riaz sustained injuries. He was shifted to Civil Hospital in injured condition.

However, police pursued the alleged dacoits. They again fired shots at the chasing police party. The cops returned the fire. Consequently, one of the alleged dacoits was injured and fell down from the motorcycle. Police apprehended him while the other dacoit sped away. The injured dacoit expired while being taken to the hospital.
