Train service between Lahore and Faisalabad has been suspended after a pillar of a railway bridge collapsed on Friday. The incident took place near Shahdara, and the railway track has been closed for 72 hours for repairs.According to PR authorities, as a result of the suspension, several trains have been cancelled, including the Mari Express between Lahore and Kandian, the Badr Express and Ghori Express between Faisalabad and Lahore, and the Karakoram Express between Karachi and Lahore. The Karakoram Express has been diverted via Sahiwal, while the routes of the Shalimar Express and Mianwali Express have also been changed. Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the status of their trains before travelling. Restoration work on the bridge is underway, and train service is expected to resume within 72 hours.
