The three-day Basant Mela has started in Quetta from Friday and citizens are busy flying kites with traditional enthusiasm.According to report, young people, children and the elderly are all celebrating this colorful festival in a grand manner. In the Basant Mela, which will continue from February 13 to February 15. Citizens are flying kites on the rooftops of houses and in open fields.
The sky is presenting a charming scene with colorful kites, while the sounds of “Bo Kata” are echoing in the air. Citizens said that Basant is a beautiful festival of happiness, traditions and togetherness, which they celebrate every year in a grand manner.The district administration, while issuing a code of conduct regarding Basant, has directed the citizens to completely avoid firing in the air and celebrate the festival in a safe manner.
The administration has also strictly prohibited the use of chemicals and metal strings to avoid any untoward incident.According to the instructions of the administration, if caution is ensured, this Basant Mela can be made memorable with happiness, colors and traditional enthusiasm.
