The staff of Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital has become mafia, threatened and attempted to torture senior journalist over inquiring about the administrative drawbacks. According to details, senior News Editor of INP, Bilal Ishfaq went to THQ Hospital Balakot to get his dental issue. Firstly, Senior Pharmacy Technician Mushtaq hailing from Bissian area misbehaved with the journalist. When, Bilal talked to other staff to get the matter resolved, they instead of looking into the issue supported their colleague. Mushtaq extended severe threats to senior journalist and even attempted to thrash him. However, the patients present in the hospital foiled the attempt. It should be mentioned here that entire staff of THQ is commission mafia.

The doctor have set the commission with owners of medical stores and the prescribe medicines of more than Rs1000 even a man or woman visits to get cold or light fever checked. There is not a panadol tablet available in the hospital. All medics are running their private clinics in surrounding areas of THQ Balakot and they refer the patients from the government hospital to private clinics where they charge them thousands of rupees against unneeded tests and medicines. There is no proper place for the visiting patients who had to wait for hour their turn. The victim journalist and other patients have demanded of the authorities concerned especially Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Khan Gandapur to take notice of this alarming incident, otherwise, they will be forced to take to streets for holding protest.
