The Centaurus has always set a benchmark by promoting the true essence of "Made in Pakistan" through organizing national levels events and exhibitions. The sole purpose has been to promote Pakistani products and services in the domestic market and help connect with foreign buyers through interaction with the diplomatic community. The Centaurus management has once again organised an Islamic art exhibition in collaboration with Wasil Shahid, a well-known calligrapher from Islamabad and known for his work in calligraphy. A 3-days Islamic calligraphy exhibition was organised towards the birthday celebrations of Prophet (PBUH) Friday. The exhibition was inaugurated jointly by Qamar Zaman Kaira (Advisor to Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and GB), Mr. Sardar Rashid Ilyas Khan (Group Director Sardar Group of Companies) and Mr. Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan (CEO The Centaurus and Sardar Group of Companies) were also Present at the Occasions.

While paying tribute to Wasil Shahid for his creative effort, Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira highlighted the significance of Calligraphy and declared as the most fundamental element of Islamic art. It is significant that the Quran, the book of God revelations to the Prophet Muhammad, was transmitted in Arabic, and that inherent within the Arabic script is the potential for developing a variety of ornamental forms. The art of calligraphy has a prominent position in Islamic civilization. Moral and spiritual education of the society has also been done through this art from Muslim calligraphers along with the expression of love for Prophet (PBUH). Mr.Kaira also highlighted the efforts of Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan and Sardar Rashid Ilyas Khan in providing the venue for such type of occasions and he appreciated their work in this regard. In the end Mr Wasil has presented a memento to Mr Qamar Zaman Kaira and Mr Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan also presented the sardar group of company’s shields to Qamar Zaman Kaira for his visit to The Centaurus Mall.
