The security personnel thwarted attack of militants on security checkpost here Sunday-Monday night. According to details, terrorists stormed Chanda security checkpost in district Dera Ismail Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The police instantly reacted to the attack and heavy exchange of fire took place forcing attackers to escape. However, no casualties or property damages were reported in attack and cross firing. Earlier on Dec 12, he security forces conducted operations in different areas of D.I Khan killing 27 terrorists. Daraban checkpost was destroyed in suicide attack resulting in martyrdom of 25 security personnel.
