Police found dead body of a 17-year-old girl, Zainab, who had hanged herself with a rope in her flat in Karachi. The incident took place in the Defence Badr Commercial area of Karachi. The deceased was a resident of Sialkot and was married only a month ago, and was living at the home of her husband’s aunt.   The husband of the victim is an employee of a law enforcement agency (LEA). 

Police found the dead body of the girl on the roof of their flat, and a rope was tied around her neck.  The flat of her husband’s aunt is located on the fourth floor of the building. The husband of the girl was not present at the time of the incident.  Police recorded the statements of her aunt and cousin. Later, the police shifted the dead body to a hospital for post-mortem to determine the real cause of her death. 

Police said that the real cause of the girl's death will be determined after receiving autopsy report.  In another incident, a man lost his life during a clash that erupted in the Sheesh Mehal area of the Federal B Area, Karachi.  The victim was identified as Maqsood Raza. Soon after the incident, a rescue team reached the site and shifted the dead body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi.
